line & shape
I feel that the first photo in the top left hand corner is my strongest. Five out of the six photos, including this one, were taken outside in my back yard. I felt that I had a variety of lines and shapes to photograph in my yard. In the top left hand photo, I used the micro setting and got down very close to the wood. I angled the camera in such a way that the grain of the wood is highlighted and the focal point of the photo. All of my photographs are meant to be horizontal. I did not consider the rule of thirds when taking these photographs, but instead wanted to focus on the content of them. I do think that this photo leads the viewer's eye through the piece. The grains of the wood take your eye from the top right to the bottom left, creating a diagonal through the photo.
